An iconoclastic hero of alt-country, Americana, college radio and modern folk, Todd Snider is enjoying a long overdue and growing popularity fueled by constant touring, and the success of his last full-length album The Devil You Know. Hailed by the New York Times as "The troubadour for our times, an inventive cross of Dylan and Kristofferson with just the right dash of Tom Petty thrown in," Snider writes songs that get people talking. His new EP Peace Queer will no doubt follow suit, as the 8-song effort comments on the world around Snider's East Nashville home. Political, economic, social and moral themes pop up throughout his lyrical storytelling, but Snider prefers his intentions to remain less clearly defined. Of Peace Queer Snider says, "I'm putting out a short thematic album called Peace Queer. Why? For attention."
