Switch Between Tube and Solid-State Outputs on the Fly - The Musical Fidelity A-1008

The Musical Fidelity A-1008 CD Player is a state-of-the-art disc player. With its supercool, switchable tube and transistor output stages, you can switch between the two modes to suit any recording or musical style.

The A-1008 uses Philips’ best top-loading Pro-Transport, one of the most highly engineered in the world. The architecture of the DAC completely re-clocks the signal read from the transport, eliminating the need for fi ltration. This gives the A-1008 its amazing, highly detailed yet natural sonic signature. This CD player has its own internal high-quality power supply, but if you use the A-1008 with the matching integrated amplifier, you can bypass the internal supply and use the beefed-up external supply from the amp. Another very cool feature is the fact that this player has two displays: one on the front and one on the top, so it can be read from above or from a seated position!

The tube/transistor option is cutting edge technology and the sound is neutral, highly resolving and sweet. This is one serious digital player!
